Prof. YinQuan Yu

Research Experience:
Dr. YinQuan Yu is a distinguished professor and Ph.D. advisor in East China Jiaotong University (ECJTU). He serves as the director of Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing and Precision Machining in ECJTU and is a long-term project award winner of the "Double Thousand Plan" Innovation Leading Talents in Jiangxi Province, China. Prof. Yu is the Senior member of IEEE, IES,and a mentor of IES-INCA. He received his B.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering from the Chongqing University, China, in 1991, the M.S. degree in Mechatronics from National university of Singapore (NUS) in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from NUS in 2014. His research activities are design and analysis Smart Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), Machine Health Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis, Mechatronics and Robotics, Shock Absorption and Noise Reduction of High-speed and High-precision Equipment, Intelligent Manufacturing and Precision Machining.
His editorial and reviewer experiences of the peer-reviewed of several SCI international journals span across IEEE and ASME international transactions and
conferences such as IEEE Journal of Transactions on Magnetics, Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Transactions on Magnetics, IEEE Access, Journal of Sensors, ASME Microsystem Technologies and Advances in mechanical engineering. Prof. Yu served as Singapore executive committee member of ASME (2017-2018) and a member of organizer, APMRC 2010. He had been a scientist in A-star and appointed as a Principal Investigator (PI) to lead 3 Singapore
government funded research projects and the member participated in the completion of 13 ASTAR & DSO funded research project. He has published more than 20 papers have been published in the international journals related to IEEE & ASME, and has 12 provisional patents/technology disclosure applications. Two of these patents were purchased by MARVELL, the largest chipmaker in the United States.
